Screed Drying Time Wooden Floor
Concrete floors or screeds need sufficient time to dry before you can start installing your quick step laminate floor on top.

Gypsum solutions dry quickly. Bs 8201 advises a drying period of one day per millimetre for the first 50mm with a longer period being allowed for thicker screeds.
75mm screed drying time would be 21 days. Wait twice as long for every additional cm thickness up to 6 cm and wait 4 weeks for every additional cm beyond 6 cm. Traditional sand cement and anhydrite floor screeds dry at a rate of 1mm per day meaning months of drying before subsequent work can begin. Make sure the screed is dry.
